I struggle with my skin.
I've always had acne, eczema, dry skin, scarring and discoloring.
But I've never really known how to battle any of it.
So when Alcheme Health reached out to me to try some of their amazing treatments and learn more about healthy skin care routines- I was beyond excited!
The spa is just darling- it's like going on a mini vacation when you walk inside the building.

Okay so shall we talk about this vampire facial now or what?!
First can I just say that Kim K.'s treatment was very dramatic looking to say the least.
After seeing her photos I thought for sure I might look like something out of a scary movie-
with blood all over my face.
But no- not even close!
In simple terms the platelet rich plasma (PRP) facial includes drawing blood from your arm, separating the platelets, and then injecting them into your skin via microneedling.
But the red part of my blood was barely visible during my treatment- as you can see from all the photos and videos I uploaded to IG!
Okay phew just had to get that point out!

What is the vampire facial?
The platelet rich plasma (PRP) facial, also known as the "vampire facial" is a process that applies PRP (my own) like a mask and then uses a microneedling device to create micro injuries to the skin. The platelets present in your PRP then help to heal the tears, leaving your skin radiant with noticeably fewer fine lines, acne scars and/or wrinkles.
What are the benefits?
The big thing is that it helps new, stronger collagen to form and new tissue growth.
Gets your skin looking refreshed, rejuvenated with that youthful glow!
Helps with:
- fine lines
- acne scars
- tightening and toning the skin
Why did you get it?
Like I said above, I have acne, scarring and discoloring that I'm trying to fix and then my goal is to restore my skin so that it's healthy and stays looking and feeling youthful.
Did it hurt?
Dr. Winter used a numbing cream before {it is optional} which helped a ton! It did sting on my forehead, since it's right on bone- but I didn't feel the rest of my face at all! Trust me- if I could handle it, so could you! I was more nervous to get my blood drawn than anything.
How long till you see results?
It can take up to 4-6 weeks to see results. So this is definitely something you plan for!
How long does it take?
My treatment took about 30-40 minutes- easy peasy!
How long is the recovery time?
I was a little red after the facial- but was totally able to be out and about! I just made sure to wear a hat since my skin was a little sensitive.
How many treatments do you need?
Anywhere from 1-3 treatments a year depending on your skin.
Did you notice a difference?
It's been over a month and I can totally see my skin looking more clear, my scars have faded and the color is more even. And as each week passes it gets better and better!

Would you recommend it?
Heck yeah! It was what I needed to jump start my new journey to attaining healthy glowing clear skin!
