five things on my mind.

Happy FriYAY!
Hmm lets see..
Five things that are on my mind lately:
GO!

1. I'm currently binge watching How to Get Away With Murder, season two-
and man oh man is it juicy!
And full of twists and turns.
My dad was over earlier this week and asked what I was watching-
when I told him the title he was like, "What in the... should I be worried?!"
Hahaha he had never heard of it.
So it pretty much made me sound like a psycho.
It's fine.
Any new shows you're watching?!
I like to keep a running tab of ones I need to try.

2. We're having a little stay-cation next weekend to celebrate my first Mother's Day and I cannot wait.
I just wanna eat yummy food, lay by the pool, take a relaxing bubble bath, go shopping and enjoy this perfect Spring weather before it gets too hot!

3. I'm down four more lbs woot woot!!
Only ten more to go before I'm pre babe weight, but 15 is my real goal.
I'm not dieting, just making healthy choices and working out.
I'm scared to restrict any calories since I'm exclusively breastfeeding and I would be so so so bummed if my supply went down because I wasn't eating enough calories.

4. Zak and I picked up this salad dressing at Target called Bolthouse Farms Cilantro Avocado Dressing and you guys, it's so good!
This isn't an ad or sponsored post or anything!
I just really wanted to tell you guys about it!
It's like 40 calories per serving and tastes so stinking good.
We've been making salads all week and I'm planning on going back and picking up another bottle this ASAP.
Trust me, you need to try it.

5. Zak's the best hubby ever and is helping me with some projects I've been working on lately. Blogging has been a passion of mine for about five years now, can you believe it?!
And now that I'm staying at home with Liam full time I have lots of fun stuff planned for Newlywed Diaries.
I'm thankful I have a partner who supports my dreams and helps me achieve my goals-
thanks babe, you da best!

So that's kinda what's been going on in my brain lately-
an obsession with ranch dressing and How to get Away with Murder.

Have an awesome weekend lovies!

xoxo

i love..

I love..
when you suck your bottom lip and make a goofy little grin.
when you kick kick kick those little legs.
when you coo and giggle and squeal with excitement.
when you make eye contact with me and smile.
when you watch me walk across the room.
when you get happy when you see your dad or I in the morning.
when we cuddle in bed all morning long.
when you stare at all the trees during our walks.
when you splash in the bath.
when you whip your head back and forth feeling the water.
when you smile so big my heart feels like it's going to explode!
when you hiccup.
when you stick your little tongue out.

when you kick your left leg during diaper changes.
when you stop crying when I hold you.
when you put your little hand on my chest while you eat.
and when you calm right down once you're nursing.
when you make all your different facial expressions.
when you play in your crib, patiently waiting to be picked up.
when you make little spit bubbles.
when you have crazy hair.
when you stare at the fan and watch the lights .
when we have little conversations together.
when you listen to me sing.
when you watch me and smile.. like right now.
when we spend our days together and our nights.

Most importantly I just love being your momma.

unicorns, castles and a full moon.

Hola!
Last weekend was one for the books.
Zak kinda surprised me and got off super duper early Friday after taking a big test, so he had a three day weekend sans studying.
We. were. pumped!
He got home and we were still in bed lol.. we sleep in till like 9:30 each morning-
don't judge.
And so I quickly jumped in the shower and got ready for the day-
while getting ready I just had an urge to get outs the house and thought, we should head up to Sedona!
I told Zak my idea, he was down and in about an hour we were out the door and headed north!
We packed in like two seconds, brought Romie with us and said we'd just figure out where we were headed once we were in the car.

As we were driving up, Zak saw a sign for Montezuma Castle and we decided to veer off and see what it was all about.
We love being able to explore like this-
not have an itinerary or time frame, just go with the flow.
I'm usually such a planner, but I've quickly learned with kiddos you just have to "let the cookie crumble," like Zak says and roll with the punches.
Trust me, it's way more relaxing that way!
Blow out, no problemo.
Crying in the car, just pull over.
Needs to eat on the go, grab some frozen breast milk and waalaa you're set.
Simple and easy- best way to travel with babies.

The castle was super cool.
It was a castle of sorts built into the side of a canyon by a Native American tribe hundreds of years ago.
It was incredible to see something built in the 1300's!
Not to mention it was perfectly sunny and 75 degrees out, which made the scenery even prettier.
Afterwards we got back in the car and headed to see the beautiful red rocks!
This was Zak's first time to Sedona, and I was super excited for the drive up-
it looks nothing like typical AZ.
The mountains are so unique!
We were both in awe.

Our first stop was food.
We grabbed something quick since the sun would be setting in a few hours and we wanted to get a little hike in before it got dark.
Liam was such a trooper and slept the entire drive, throughout the castle tour and just woke up once we got to Bell Rock.

We took the stroller down a not-so-stroller-friendly path and explored around.
We learned that next time we'll bring a carrier with us!
The mountains and surrounding brush/forest-y area was so pretty!
Especially as the sunset.

This was the best pic we could get with all of us lol we were kinda struggling at this point!

Once we got back to the car I had to feed Liam so we hung out for like thirty minutes or so while I nursed.
Well once we tried to start the car to head home..
the battery was dead.
It was about 7:00 PM, the parking lot was empty and it was getting super dark.
Thankfully we have AAA so we had to just hang tight for a little while until someone could come help us out.
But of course we're at a trail head, zero lights. with a dog and a baby-
hahah our trips always have a crazy twist to them!
But this isn't even the crazy part unfortunately..
so while we're sitting there, in the pitch black I decide to grab our little emergency backpack in the trunk.
Well this backpack has bungie cords on the front of it and one of them got stuck on the stroller-
so when I put the backpack in my lap it was stretching over the entire back seat and when I went to untangle it it snapped back and hit me right in the eye!
Like, eye wide open and everything.
I was screaming crying.
Zak has never ever ever heard me cry like that-
I don't think I've ever heard myself cry like that.
Thankfully thankfull thankfully I could see out of it and it's just been super red and a little bruised.
It could have been way way wayyyyyy worse.
So much so that thinking about it just gives me a pit in my stomach.
Thank you Lord for not letting me be seriously hurt!!!!
But hang on.. the craziness doesn't end there...!
So while I'm crying, thinking I'm blind a truck pulls up and a few people get out.
It's again pitch black at a trail head parking lot and they start taking pictures.
I don't think anything of it-
but Zak's kinda keeping an eye on them.
They then run off and I guess go night hiking?
Since it was a full moon?
I dunno.
So the AAA comes and jumps our car and as we leave the parking lot Zak tells me that each time the flash from those peoples camera went off he could just see them in masks!
Like horse/unicorn looking masks.
HOW CREEPY!!!!
Hahahah that would happen to us!
Dang you full moon for bringing out all the crazies!
He didn't want to tell me while we were sitting there because he knew I'd be freaked out.
Gosh.
So anywho, after a broken down car, almost losing an eye and some weirdos in masks we laughed hysterically and made our way back home!

The rest of the weekend was full of chores, parents night out and lots of blogging.
I hope your weekend was a good one-
and less weird than ours!

my little's wedding.

Soo get ready to like drool over these next photos!
My little sister from my sorority got married last weekend and I was honored to be one of her bridesmaids, as she was one of mine.
I've known her since Jr. High and she's not only the prettiest girl on the outside, but the inside as well.
She really has a heart of gold, and is such an amazing friend.

Before everything started all the girls got ready at her darling house.

We had a blast getting all done up for our sweet friend's special day!

Her dress and veil were stunning!

And once she put it on, we were kinda dying.
How pretty!!

We then wished her on her way to meet her future hubby!

So I've been to lots of weddings, they've all been super cute, really trendy and something you'd totally pin on Pinterest- this wedding you guys, was a DREAM come true.

Like, the amount of flowers.
Unreal!

Outta this world.
She kept is all a surprise and wouldn't tell anyone what to expect decor wise-
so when we first saw the tent we were all in awe!
It was magical!

It was all at the Paradise Valley Country Club- where they also got engaged, how sweet is that?!
And the ceremony was at sunset overlooking the famous Camelback Mountains.

This was taken obvi before everything was set up- but look at that view!
As they walked down the isle as Mr. and Mrs. Czerwinski, the Arizona State University Marching Band popped out and surprised them and started playing!
Like, it was the coolest thing ever.

Both their families are HUGE ASU fans, and this was like the cherry on top of a perfect ice cream sundae!
From there we took lots of pictures during cocktail hour, and then headed into the prettiest white tent for dinner.

All the details were picture perfect, and I wish I could take home all the tables with me-
they were darling.
I mean, look at the head table.

Everything was perfect.

After dinner and dessert we headed inside for dancing!

It was such a treat to see lots of friends of college and high school-
a little mini reunion of sorts!

My mom was also there, which was a lot of fun!

I love having him as my forever wedding date.
Jack and Lea were made for one another!
They are such sweet, generous and caring people.
I'm so so so happy my little sis found her happily ever after as cheesy as that sounds!

She deserved a hprince charming, and she certainly found him!
Congratulations you two love birds,
have the best time on your honeymoon!
Oh yeah!
And the rehearsal dinner the night before was just as dreamy!

It was held at El Chorro Lodge in Paradise Valley-
if you're in AZ you need to check that place out!

And order the sticky buns..!

Everything was so cute and we had a blast celebrating the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. as well as the birthday girl!

What a perfect way to celebrate her birthday!

Funny story:

On Saturday night Zak was in the bath with him and some bubbles started popping up..
Zak yelled at me to come help hahhahaha and someone had a little {big} accident in the tub!
Daddy was a trooper and the poop didn't bother him one bit.
But then when he got all cleaned up he was holding Liam and he threw up {not spit up} but threw up all down Zak...
I. was. dying.
Zak gags around breast milk and for being a medical student, almost a dang doctor, he does not do well with the smell.
Thankfully Liam was feeling better, so everything was okay!
But so far only daddy has gotten pooped and thrown up on..
crossing my fingers it stays that way!

Liam we love you!
You make our life a little messier, but way more fun!

xoxo
