family film club.

Hi loves!
We have some very exciting news to share...
Liam is now apart of the Hambsch Family Film Club!!!
We took him to see Ratatouille {my fave Pixar movie!!} this weekend at the San Diego Symphony!
It was so cute you guys.
The orchestra played the soundtrack live, which was just incredible!
We got to see one of the Harry Potter films like this during the summer {you can read more about it here}-
so when we noticed Ratatouille was playing...
WE HAD TO BE THERE!!
I can't recommend these films enough.
If you're in San Diego you gotta check out the calendar-
they have some really good holiday shows coming up!
Perfect for date night or family night!

We kept telling Liam okay we're going to go see the mouse movie!!
And he would get so pumped!
The theater was beautiful and our seats...
AMAZING!

We were right in front so we could see the entire orchestra.
These people are so talented- blows my mind!
Liam even had his own seat too.
The cutest!

We got to hear them warm up, and then when the lights dimmed Liam got so excited and kept saying,
"mouse mouse!"
You guys- kids make your life so magical.
Experiences like this are just so sweet.

Liam even wore his fancy button down shirt for the occasion!

He was entranced the entire time and loved saying, "yay" when the audience clapped or laughed.
It's the cutest movie with the sweetest French music that had me yearning for a trip to Paris when we left!

We cannot thank the San Diego Symphony for hosting us-
best family night ever!
We cannot wait to go back!

Have a great week everyone!

xoxo

October things I love.

Hii!
Hope your week is going well!
Okay so today I wanted to continue with my little "things I love" segment on here!
Just somethings I love wearing, eating, listening to or watching right now in case you're in the market for some new finds!

1. Up first- this super cutie blush coat from Shein! I LOVEEEE winter wear. And I especially love when it's affordable! You can shop it HERE!

2. GORGEOUS! The new T-Swift song. Liam and I have it on repeat!

3. The Dirty John podcast. Hahaha such a funny title. But! If you like crazy crime dramas and need something to entertain yah while you fold laundry or sit in traffic- this is for you!

4. These loop bands have been giving my bum a great workout! I use them at the gym- so many fun and easy exercises you can do with them!

5. Poke Bowls. Have you tried them?! It's a seafood bowl of heaven and Zak and I's latest obsession when we want to go out for dinner!

6. Family walks at night to look at the Halloween decorations! Liam says "scary house!" And it's so dang cute. I can't imagine what Christmas will be like! Free, fun and a little exercise with the fam!

7. Boo-ing our neighbors! We've been making all kinds of treats and handing them out! Liam also loves to "share" and drop them off at peoples houses- it's adorable!

8. Chat books! Hashtag not sponsored but I love ordering them! They make little picture books out of your social media posts! Been ordering them for years and have a million in my living room!

And that's it for right now!

Have a sweet day!

xoxo

healthy halloween tips.

Hi loves!
One week until Halloween!!!!
Do you have your costume yet?!
Because we sure don't.
I posted some ideas right here and keep pinning more costumes here too!
But anywho-
one sure fire thing that comes with Halloween...
CANDY.
and another thing that comes with fall....
TREATS.
okay and one last thing everyone wants to do around this time....
BAKE.
Yah with me?!
The sweet tooth struggle is REAL.
So today I wanted to post five easy tips I use to have a healthy Halloween!

1. Memories over Macros! It's freaking Halloween- have a piece of candy!!! And don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem eating one piece, I have a problem eating 13 little packs of starburst and five reeces cups because I have a baby and who is going to eat all his candy?!?!
So what I do to avoid the candy binge: pick some of my favorites, track them in My Fitness Pal and call it Halloween!
That way I don't miss out, don't go over board and don't get the stupid "guilty" feeling for having some heavenly chocolate!

2. Be Fruity! If you're going to a Halloween party, Murder Mystery dinner or a haunted shin dig- bring the fruit and veggie tray! That way you can munch all night on some healthier options and not feel too tempted to just binge on chips and dip all night.
This gives you control!

3. Sweet treats! Ever get the urge to just bake up a storm around this time?! I always do! So if Liam and I are in the mood to bake some pumpkin bread- we go ahead and do so!
Then when it's all done- we hand it out to neighbors as a sweet little treat!
That way there's not 8 loaves just calling my name all day long!

4. Water, water and more water! Before a meal, after a meal and when you get that sweet tooth craving, chug a glass of water and wait a few minutes to see if you're still hungry.

5. Queen of routine! Keep on your workout schedule and nutrition plan throughout the month! It's reallllly tough sometimes- but I promise if you stay consistent at least 4-5 times a week you'll feel great! And if it's too stressful with travel and company- that's okay! Just chose healthy options, try your best and give yourself grace!

6. I want candy! I literally am so tempted to buy Halloween candy every. single. time. I'm at the store! But heaven knows come 10:30 pm I'll be opening that bag each night picking out my faves until there's none left for trick or treaters! So! I just buy the bag the day of so I don't have to worry about it!

I hope these help yah out a little!
Halloween is a time for fun- so don't stress out too much!
It's all about moderation and memories!

Have a great week!

magic kingdom mama.

Happy day sweets!
These last three days have been LONG!
And making me wish we were back at Disney.
Zak has like no time off- like worked 84 hours last week...
Butttt when a glorious day off does happen we make the most of it and this time we headed straight for the magic kingdom!
We have passes this year, so our goal is to go two more times-
once around Thanksgiving and another near Christmas to soak up the holidays.
This time though we got to take our niece along and it was so sweet.
She hasn't been since she was a baby- so this was kinda like her first time all over again!
It was so cute!!

We...
- got matching minnie mouse ears
- snagged an autograph book
- and chased down every character we could find!

Hi i love main street!
We...
- went on some big boy rides!
- tried the flying elephants for the first time
- and Alison and Wonderland's bug ride too!

Liam was pretty impressed by the flying elephants and loved pointing them out!
It was one of those pinch me mom moments going, "weeeee!!!" with him!

He's just so talkative now and FULL OF WORDS AND SENTENCES LIKE WHAT?!
It was so cute to watch him point out everything and really take everything in-
especially the "scary" rides aka anything that was in the dark.
It was so cute becuase afterwards he just wanted Zak to hold him and would lay his head on his chest for security.
I mean, melts me every time.

We..
- went on the teacups {duh}
- Kennedy bowed for the evil queen
- and we tried out It's a Small World!

We also ventured through the castle!
It was kinda nice having an extra photographer on hand too-
k loves taking pics so you know I took advantage of that!
hashtag why is it always so hard to get a family pic?!

Lol my attempt at being healthy and packing fruit to snack on.
LastED all morning until we chose churros and ice cream instead!

We...
- Met goofy
- Did a conga line with Pluto
- hung out with Minnie at her house!
- partied it up in toon town!

Sorry K- only pic we snagged...

Liam was LOVING his churro.
Proud parent moment.

We also...
- chilled in the baby center {best kept secret}
- watched the parade on mainstreet
- ate ice cream
- and KENNEDY MET MICKEY!!!

BIG moment right here!!
She was so excited!!

It twas a good day indeed!!
Liam is just at the PERFECT age to go and get excited about the characters, rides and play areas.
I'm already counting down the days till we go again!
And I think in the spring I'll put together a little guide of all our Disneyland tips and tricks-
once we really get seasoned!

Have a magical day!

xoxo
