final bumpdate.

Happy Monday!
And happy two weeks of life Liam!
Speaking of my little love, he's currently killing it in his crib {something we've been working on} taking a wonderful morning nap so I'm getting in some bloggin as well as hanging out with my hubby
because he doesn't have to be at the hospital till noon-
woot woot.
I have taken over 1,000 pictures in the last week sooooo I have a lot of posts to get to.
I don't want to leave anything out.
But first, I want to back track a little and do a final bumpdate.
I went into labor at 38 weeks and 6 days {pretty much 39 weeks, but yah know hospitals like to be specific}-
and two days before that I laid out by the pool and snapped one last bare belly pic-
which I'm so glad I have now.
I love love loved my baby bump and I'm so grateful to have documented all the different stages of my pregnancy.

I'm also thankful to have had a healthy pregnancy along with a healthy little babe.
And I credit a lot of that to having a fit lifestyle before, during and after pregnancy.
Going to the gym and eating the right foods throughout these nine months-
and listening to my body when I needed rest,
I think really helped me through labor and delivery.
I was able to workout two days before I went into the hospital and the only reason I didn't go all the way is because I felt like I was going to pop and didn't want him arriving on Valentines Day-
so that weekend I literally tried to move as little as possible lol.
I know all pregnancies and bodies are totally different and some people have it super super rough with complications, illness and fatigue so I'm certainly counting my blessings.
Crossing my fingers my other pregnancies go this smoothly.

All in all I think I gained 33 lbs-
and the only reason I say I think is because I didn't weigh myself before into the hospital so that could be higher for all I know!
Good news is I'm 15 lbs down as of last week-
woot woot!
Thank you breastfeeding and my 7.7 lb baby!
I started going back to the gym at 1 week, just doing light cardio since I can't lift anything until I'm completely healed.
The most food I ever craved was super duper loaded salads, frozen fruit and acai bowls.
I literally had family bring salad and an acai bowl to my hospital room.
So. Good.
I was really uncomfortable days leading up to my delivery-
I was taking what seemed like a bajillion trips to the ladies room, my stomach was completely full, my ribs hurt like heck and I couldn't sleep much.
The night before my water broke, I remember telling Zak-
"I'm ready to have this baby, I feel like I'm going to pop!"
And sure enough a few hours later I did just that.
Now onto the really good stuff-
all of my super classy bathroom bump shots!
I compiled them all below and it's kinda cool to see the progression of my belly!

Love this bump so much and it's still hard for me to believe it was Liam in there the whole time,
what an amazing experience.
Hope you enjoyed all my crazy bumpdates over the past nine months-
don't you worry they'll be back again with my next pregnancy!
Yep, I'm nuts and wanna have another one, like pronto.
:)

Have an awesome Leap Day!

liam dean's birth video.

Hello!
You guys, I'm a mommy!
We just brought our little peanut home yesterday and are getting all settled in as a new family of four-
Romie counts as our first baby.
:)
I seriously have SO MUCH to write about-
his birth was an absolute dream come true and I can't wait to write out all the details and share the specials moments of the day.
But, first I wanted to share something priceless with you.
Zak and I were blessed with meeting our Sydney Aylesworth, who took our pregnancy announcement photos way back in August-
you can see those pretty pics here.
Not only is she crazy talented, but she's the sweetest person to work with!
She puts you at ease, is so creative and makes you feel at home while shooting.
So we didn't think twice when booking our birth photographer-
we knew we wanted her with us to document the best day of our lives.
She did such a phenomenal job- I again can't wait to show you all the photos and relive the day,
but she also sent me the best text message I've ever EVER received hours after Liam was born.
She had been taking videos throughout the day as well and surprised us with a birth video.
I died.
Literally the sweetest thing ever, and it brought both Zak and I to tears.
I already cried {balled like a baby} watching it again this morning.
It's a priceless gift and I thank the Lord for bringing Sydney into our lives.
It's something I can't ever thank her enough for.
Truly as new parents, getting to watch the birth of our son is the greatest gift we have ever gotten.
Thank you Sydney for being such a doll and dream to work with-
you're truly the best!
If you're in need of a photographer totally check her out here and here
she's amazing I tell yah!

So without further adieu here's Liam's birth video!

bumpdate.

Happy Friday everyone!
I'm kinda in a stellar mood right now because the crib arrived this morning and the guys assembled it for me so it's all set up and done with.
What a huge relief!
And a big check off our list.
Didn't have to install a thing.
Woot woot.
So today I'm 38 weeks and 3 days-
Here's a classy bathroom selfie for yah.

And my doctor is predicting that he's going to arrive early..
so we've been getting everything together just in case he's an early bird.
We even went out an in-case-he-comes-early-lets-go-out-to-eat-one-more-time-just-the-two-of-us dinner at fancy smancy Cafe Rio.

PS we still think Costa Vida is way better.
Anywho, ideally I would like him to stay put until Tuesday-
but who knows!
You can't plan births and just gotta go with the flow.
The most important thing is that he's just healthy and safe.

I haven't been having contractions, however everything else has progressed and my doctor was pretty surprised I was still walking around and going to the gym lol.
It's just such a fun time- knowing the best day of your life is around the corner, but not knowing when it's going to happen is like the best surprise ever.
I'm not nervous at all about labor and delivery, maybe I should be haha?
I'm honestly just so excited and can't wait to be checked into the maternity ward!
But I can wait until Tuesday that is!
So baby stay put pretty please.
I keep forgetting to weigh myself this week-
but at my appointment they said I hadn't gained so I'm still at about 30lbs up-
and my tummy feels ginormous and full.
Here's some shots of 37 weeks-

I just try and eat little meals throughout the day, because eating out or making something big is just so dang uncomfortable and not worth it.
I've still been loving my salads and frozen fruits-
and somehow staying on track with my fitness routine {an hour a day five times a week}.
My energy is also super high, which I thought I'd crash towards the end-
but I think all the excitement just has me hyper and keeps me going.
This weekend however my goal is to not leave the house and really just take it easy.
Zak has his 24 hour on call shift at the hospital-
so it's the perfect time for some Netflix marathons, laying out by the pool and just relaxing.

Hope you have an awesome weekend planned and the sweetest Valentines Day ever!
I'll post all about our V-day plans {you know its our fav holiday} on Monday!

xoxo

happy february.

It's baby month you guys!!
Well hopefully..
I guess if he's super stubborn he could arrive in March.
But lets stay optimistic!
It's also my best friend's bday month, hence the pretty picture above!
This last week has been a whirlwind getting prepped for baby.
And we've crossed off lots on our to-dos lists, which to me, is like the best feeling ever.

Everything from getting the carpet shampooed, to getting our hair done..
has been checked off our list and we're pretty much ready for him to come!
Minus the fact that his crib still hasn't arrived....
yeah don't remind me.
But it should be here this week-
crossing my fingers..
so then we'll kinda be like 100% ready!
Crazy.
We've been celebrating a lot too-
like after having a healthy doctors visit we went to The Good Egg for lunch-
PS the turkey burger is amazing!
We're just a tad bit excited.
We keep saying, "we're going to parents soon!"
and, "this time next month we'll have a baby!"
I think about him all day long and am so so so giddy to get to the hospital.

A few weekends ago we also got to celebrate the engagement of this girl right here!
She's getting married this spring and Zak and I couldn't be more happy for the two love birds.
And I'm honored to be apart of her big day!

It's going to be the absolute perfect wedding, hands down.
I mean, look at the dessert table!
It was adorable.

I spent the Super Bowl at my best friends house-
it happened to be the the same day as her birthday.
We ate lots of food {way too much food}, played some Bocci Ball, watched the half time show and giggled a lot.
It was kinda the perfect way to "watch" the game in my mind!
You know, since I'm super into football and all.

The weekend prior her and I celebrated her birthday with Mexican food, cookies and bathing suit shopping.
lol.
Nine months preggo and bathing suit shopping.
We thought it'd be a good idea to go to this warehouse swim suit sale,
and lets just say after two hours of waiting in line we both snagged a suit and were totally ready to call it a day hahah.
But hey, they were cute at least!

And now here are some Romie pictures in case you needed a little pick me up.
I know I'm biased, but I think he is just the sweetest little bear in the entire world and love him so much.

He doesn't like getting out of bed either,
something we bond over.

Have an awesome Monday night everyone!
I'll do a little bumpdate this week-
so watch out for that!

xoxo
