san marcos resort weddings.

Hello!
Today I'm sharing a fun project I've been working on with the San Marcos Resort!
You all know I love weddings..
everything from the dress, to the cake and of course all the decorations just makes me giddy.
And I think first and foremost the venue is what sets the tone for the entire event-
and it's certainly the most important detail!
I mean how can all your Pinterest board dreams come true if you don't have the picture perfect background to start with?!
So.. if you're in the market to get married-
you gotta checkout The San Marcos Resort.
It was built in 1912 and it's nestled in charming downtown Chandler, Arizona.
The historic building looks like something you would find deep in the south, complete with hundred-year-old vines all around the property.
The greenery is unlike anything you've seen in Arizona!

As a bride-to-be it's so important to pick the right venue-
it's what sets the mood of your wedding!
From the moment guests sit down for the ceremony, to the time they line-up for the grand exit, you want people to be in awe!
And I believe the San Marcos can do just that!

I mean, look at those vines!
You can't get a more romantic place to say "I do" than that!
It doesn't even look like you're in Arizona, guests will feel like they're on a mini vacation.

You can create a modern event using trendy designs all the while staying classic and ageless.
I think my favorite spot on the property is the Pergola Patio, adorned in lush greenery and hanging lanterns, it's the perfect spot for a modern to vintage garden wedding.
It's a lovely choice for a ceremony!

I love that the San Marcos is a full fledged resort {complete with darling restaurants and a coffee shop} and it also has Arizona's first golf course on site as well.
So you and guests can stay there on your wedding night and enjoy all the beautiful amenities too.
Win win for everyone!

Another great aspect of the San Marcos is that the Mr. and Mrs. to-be has tons of flexibility!
There are different options for the ceremony and reception sites, whether you want to be indoors, outdoors, a group of twenty or two-hundred-
the San Marcos can accommodate your needs and make it the best day of your life.

The grounds are stunning!
There are gardens, and tents and ballrooms and even a rooftop patio to choose from-
pretty much a brides dream come true.

PS want to know a super fun fact about the resort?!
It has hosted big time celebs like Christian Dior, Joan Crawford and President Herbert Hoover!
I mean how cool is that?!

You guys, the grand ballroom is beyond gorgeous!
The chandeliers are insanely beautiful.
They sparkle and shine like no ones business.
This spot would be perfect if you had a large guest count-
plenty of room to get down on the dance floor.

The vintage charm, lush greenery, flexible options, world class hospitality and historic beauty make the San Marcos a one of a kind option for your special day.
As a bride-to-be this place has it all and can certinaly make your wedding dreams come true!

mother's day part two.

Here's the second part of my Mother's Day post!
Sunday was full of bliss!
The San Marcos treated us to the nicest {and yummiest} Mother's Day breakfast that morning.
We indulged, to say the least.
The food was delicious and never ending!

They had the biggest dessert table, too!
With the cutest macaroons.

After breakfast we headed to the pool!
Can I just say that the weather was picture perfect.
I was worried it'd be too hot-
but nope it was cool and breezy and full of sunshine.

He seriously slept this entire trip lol.

The pool was totally empty so we snagged a cabana and made camp for a bit.

And Liam slept some more.
It was cool enough that he was fine outside, which was so nice!

^^ The weather!!

Not going to lie, this was the first time I wore a swim suit since having Liam and I was a little nervous!
And wasn't going to post these, but then thought screw those stupid thoughts.
I just had a baby, and no one's perfect.
I've been working hard at the gym, and eating well, but I still have about 12 more lbs till I reach my goal weight.
Regardless, our bodies are absolutely amazing and it's crazy that just two and a half months before this photo was taken he was in my belly!!
PS this top was super cheap from Forever 21 and perfect for nursing mamas.

That is his sleepy hair just waking up face.
Gosh I love him!
It was the perfect first Mother's Day.
Full of relaxation, food, my boys and some pool time!
Thanks babe for everything, you're the best!

xoxo
