Hi loves!

Awe this weekend was a good one-

totally filing it under: never want this time to end!

Zak only gets one day off a week- so when he's home we like to make the most of every second.

And that we did!

On Saturday we were out the door bright and early to spend the morning in dreamy Del Mar!

The ever so beautiful Del Mar Thoroughbred Club hosted us for the yummiest breakfast at the race track- 

with the coolest views!

Just you wait and see!

But first, can we talk about how cute the clubhouse is?!

The ivy was my favorite!

During the summer guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast overlooking the track during morning workouts!

It's called Daybreak at Del Mar and seriously-

both Zak and I totally recommend going!

It's a perfect start to your day and it was so fun to see all the horses and jockey's warming up!

I felt so fancy getting a first look at the horses!

Also- super kid friendly and something to totally add to your summer "must do" bucket list!

The track keeps the littles entertained-

Liam was having a blast watching the tractors and horses, mama got to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee and daddy- enjoyed the blueberry muffin and breakfast ciabatta!

So it was Hambsch family approved!

And ps the staff was so nice too!

Made us feel right at home.

The weather was so nice and cool, the views were so pretty and Liam loved exploring the clubhouse!

If you're ever visiting SD this summer or a local- totally gotta check this out!

Always make sure to check the event calendar here because on certain mornings there's also Donuts Day going on too!

So you know after breakfast we made our way over to the dessert table to try out some sprinkle and glazed goodness!

Oh and on our way Liam got to meet some jockey's and race horses too!

He was in awe!

They were so nice and came to say hello!

Liam was impressed to say the least!

Donuts Day is a FREE event for everyone to enjoy!

You can go out to the track and have yummy donuts, coffee and juice while getting a little behind-the-scenes look at thoroughbred racing!

It's perfect for the whole family!

I think it's a cute little family tradition anyone could start too!

Saturday morning eating donuts at the race track?!

SO FUN!

And delicious. 

We are a donut obsessed family and enjoyed our time very much!

There's also FREE family fun days on the weekends too!

Families can check out all kinds of fun activities like pony rides, face paints and an obstacle course!

I love love love how much free, affordable and fun events there are at the track-

perfect for parents and littles!

We can't thank the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club enough for having us this weekend!

Zak and I are already planning out our next morning we can snag breakfast at Daybreak-

we loved it that much!
