murder mystery dinner party.

First off, let me just warn you that the Hambsch's are serious about holidays,
especially Halloween.

For instance, this weekend was..
SPOOK-tacualr,
BAT-tastic,
Be-WITCHING,
FRIGHT-fullly Delightful,
GHOUL cool,
HAUNT-ingly Fun,
MAGICALLY WIKED,
SPELL-binding,
TERROR-ific,
and.. okay okay I know you get it.
:)
I just love the holiday season!
And so does the hubs.

I had this idea of throwing a murder mystery dinner party..
and was a little hesitant about it, but when I told Zak, he was thrilled and totally went with it!
This past week has been so much fun.
We did tons of decorating,
party planning,
pumpkin bread baking,
Monster Mash listening,
Harry Potter watching,
and candy eating all to get ready for the big night!

PS, if you're not familiar with a murder mystery party,
it's a fun dinner party where everyone comes in character and has to solve a mysterious murder throughout the course of dinner.
Pretty much like playing real life Clue.

We sent out these adorable Tiny Prints invites,
that went perfectly with the antiqued mansion theme we were going for!
The orange lines aren't usually there- I just did that to block out our address.

Zak was the mansion owner and was "mysteriously murdered" during dinner.
I was the mansion's maid, who had a bad habit of stealing his wives jewelry.

Oh and we can't thank our friends enough for totally getting into it and making the night a blast.
Oh and everyone brought the yummiest food too,
like always.
We have such awesome friends, I tell yah!

The estate driver, and town gypsy!

A celebrity, and the town's mayor.

I think Zak and I might start making Hambsch Halloween party's an annual event,
because it was a hoot!
{Get the owl/fall-ish wording there}?!

And one last shout out to the hubs for all your hard work putting everything together,
you're zee best!
And always support my crazy ideas. ;)

Now slow down October so we can enjoy our spooky 900 square foot "mansion" some more!

Hope your having a wonderful holiday season thus far!

xoxo

fall bucket list.

Hey there blog!
It feels like forever, since I posted something-
almost a month, which is forever in the blog world.
Get ready for lots of posts! I have lots to catch up on.

Anywho, it's Fall!
Woot woot.
I'm really really really trying to embrace the cold, and get excited about it,
instead of dread it.
So, to help me do that Zak and I sat down and wrote out a little Fall Bucket List,
so we have things to look forward to this season.
And it's working.
I feel like each weekend on our calendar is filling up with fun events that I'm counting down to!
So if you're like me, and hate the cold.
Make a fall bucket list, and you'll forget all about it.
Until you step outside that is and your ears start burning from the single digit temps.
But I won't get into that right now:)
Trying to stay positive..!

Welp, here's our list:

Go to a Husker Game
Throw a murder mystery dinner party
Bake pumpkin bread
Pick pumpkins at a pumpkin patch
Get lost in a corn maze
Dress up for Halloween
Decorate our apartment with festive pieces
Carve pumpkins
Bake pumpkin seeds
Go on a Fall nature hike
Crunch in the leaves
Donate to a food drive
Make a thankful tree
Stargaze
Take family photos
Watch, It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
Also Watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

.... and I'm sure our list will keep growing!
My goal is to also blog about each one, so I'll let yah know how they turn out.

Hope you're having a great hump day-
it's my "Friday" and I can't wait for a few days off to soak in this awesome October weather.

Toodles!

happy fall.

It's officially fall!
And it really feels like it too.
I'm so excited to see the leaves change color and experience the different seasons. In Arizona you don't really get four seasons it's more like summer and winter. The temperature in Omaha has been dipping into the 60's and 70's, it's so nice! Such a refreshing change.

This weekend was great! How was yours?
We tried out a sushi place in Old Market with the Married 2 Medicine gang, and it was delicious! I love that our M2M get-togethers are at fun eateries, because it makes Zak and I eat outside our comfort zone. I swear if we had it our way we would eat at Roja or Red Robin for every meal. Afterwards a few couples went and played Cards Against Humanity. Neither of us had ever played before and let me tell you, it's the inappropriate version of Apples to Apples. But hilariously funny. It's such a bad game though, totally for adults only. Not a game you'd wanna play with kiddos!

Saturday and Sunday were very relaxed. I ran a few errands as Zak studied and we ended it by watching the Emmys. Did you watch it? Zak wasn't too impressed, but I enjoyed it! We both liked the opening act and I just loved seeing the different gowns that celebs wore on the red carpet.

Anywho, tomorrow is Zak's birthday! I can't wait. He has school for the majority of the day, but I still have some fun things planned for him. I'll make sure and take lots of photos!

Happy fall everyone!
