supporting military families.

Happy July everyone!
This month is always one of my favorites!
Celebrating America, and all of those who have scarified so much.
Today I have something extra special to tell yah about!
And Ps I'm dying over these old photos of Liam-
look how tiny he was!!

Ever since I was pregnant, Zak and I would read aloud to my belly-
just getting baby ready for story time!
Then once Liam arrived, Zak would read to him all the time!
Fast forward a few months {to these pictures actually} and reading together as a family was one of our favorite activities to do together!
We started partnering with Bookroo about this time last year-
it's a great company that promotes reading by sending babies and kiddos a book subscription each month!
And you know we were all about that!

And now we're partnering with Bookroo again to spread the word about an awesome foundation they're working with, that helps military families who are far from loved ones.
We're a Navy family, and understand how important it is that these families have ways of bonding while parents are gone, and so we were thrilled when Bookroo told us about this great cause below!

#reading2gether with Bookroo

Purchase a 1- or 3-month subscription on July 4th, and 50% of the profit will be donated to United Through Reading, a nonprofit dedicated to uniting U.S. military families facing physical separation by facilitating the bonding experience of reading aloud together through video recording. Make a difference this 4th of July, and invest in #reading2gether!

Ps, Bookroo is holding a giveaway TODAY! If you take a photo of you #reading2gether with your kiddos and tag them on IG @bookroo_love, you’ll be entered to win a free month of Bookroo! And the winner will be announced tomorrow!

So!
If you've been wanting to start a new tradition with your little, get them reading more or just have more bonding sessions- I highly recommend trying out Bookroo!
And if you order tomorrow {July Fourth} you'll also be helping out some amazing military families as well.

Now that Liam's in his toddler stage, he reads now more than ever!
He'll bring us a book, sit in our lap and go through the pages with us.
It's honeslty the cutest thing ever.
Kills me when he points at the pictures and goes, "milk, ball, bird, owl!"
We've incorporated counting, colors, shapes and animals-
teaching him about the world around us with books!
I'm soooo glad we started reading with him from the get go, and that he enjoys it so much now.

And each month he gets a new Bookroo box, he's not the only one who gets excited-
Zak and I are equally thrilled to find out what books he receives!

So anywho!
I hope you have a wonderful and safe Fourth Of July- and thank you again to all of those who have served our amazing country!

xoxo
